BRAX DSP – Upgrade Module – Analog Input with AKM

Precise A/D conversion for maximum musicality

The BRAX DSP – Upgrade Input Analog AKM module expands the inputs of the BRAX DSP with additional analog connection options. This allows new signal sources to be integrated or existing systems to be adapted flexibly – always with maximum precision and uncompromising sound fidelity.
It provides two analog stereo inputs, selectable via RCA or highlevel. Thanks to the continuously adjustable input sensitivity from 1 to 8 volts (RCA) or 3.5 to 30 volts (highlevel), the module can be precisely matched to the output voltage of the connected signal source. This ensures optimal level adjustment and, as a result, the best possible sound quality.

At the heart of the module is the AKM AK5572EN – a high-end 32 Bit, 2-channel A/D converter with Velvet Sound technology, enabling an unaltered and highly detailed conversion of the original signal. It is complemented by the high-quality LME49720 Dual High Performance OpAmp from Texas Instruments, ensuring maximum precision in the analog signal path.
Four software-configurable digital input filters with selectable characteristics provide additional options for sound tuning. The highlevel input is also equipped with the ADEP.3 circuit, which reliably bypasses radio diagnostic systems. In addition, the module features an Auto Turn-On function, allowing the DSP to be switched on automatically via the highlevel input.
